No previous experience is necessary to join; there is something for every coder from beginner to advanced.

While these sessions will be focused on the updates to the Ontario math curriculum, all teachers in Canada are welcome to join in order to discover the power of coding in the classroom!

These webinars are offered free of charge thanks to funding from FIRST Robotics Canada through the CanCode program.

Cracking the Code: Getting Started with Ontario's New Coding Curriculum
Everything you need to get started with Ontario’s new coding curriculum!

With the announcement of the updated Ontario Math Curriculum, we are excited to see coding finally included. However, we also recognize you may have questions about how to get started.

In this free webinar designed and led by OCT certified teachers, we will be de-mystifying the new coding curriculum as well as providing actionable strategies and activities you can use to get started with your students!

Teachers in grades 1-8 can join; no previous experience is necessary! All you need is a computer with an internet connection. The workshop will be run through Microsoft Teams.

In this hands-on, interactive workshop we will be exploring how to use the Scratch Jr app with Grade 1 & 2 students.

By the end of this workshop, you will have everything you need to run a full-fledged coding unit directly tied to the Ontario Math Curriculum as we learn to code our own animated stories.

While these sessions will be focused on the updates to the Ontario math curriculum, all teachers in Canada are welcome to join in order to discover the power of coding in the classroom!
