We would like to extend a huge welcome to Donna Kowalchuk, EdD, who will be engaging in a post doctoral internship sponsored between the University of Toronto and STEMMINDS Online Academy. Along with her scholarly interests, Donna brings over thirty years of experience as an educator and in leading schools in Ontario public education. Her experience involves leading rural and urban elementary and secondary schools in Ontario towards improving equity, student achievement, and well-being for all.
Donna is currently an instructor and faculty advisor with the School of Education and Professional Learning at Trent University. Her research will focus on how STEM project-based inquiry pedagogies in a blended virtualized learning environment supports student engagement and ability inclusion. During her time with STEM MINDS, she also hopes to leverage her theoretical and practical experience to learn and grow in her new role of course instructor.
