This Employment Ontario Project is funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario

Join us for FREE community nights, hosted by STEM Minds and Boreal Farms to raise public awareness on agriculture and sustainable practices to address many of the SDG goals like:

  • Food Insecurity
  • Sustainable Environment
  • Job insecurity

During these workshops you will learn about sustainable gardening at home to innovation in the Agri Tech sector. These sessions are for 15+ youth and Adults who are interested in learning about sustainable gardening at home to upskilling/reskilling for a career in Agriculture and Technology.

Number of Participants

  • Maximum of 30 participants for each In-Person session.
  • Please note that prior registration is required to attend each session. Walk-ins cannot be registered.
  • We reserve the right to change the program offered at the community night.
  • To participate in the program, pre and post surveys are mandatory for completion, inlcuding interviews

Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis..

Notice of Collection:

Please note, participating in this program will require each student to complete the Skills Development Fund Participation Registration Form. This is a mandatory requirement from the Ministry of Labour. These forms will need to be completed and submitted when the workshop is delivered. By enrolling in this program you are providing your explicit consent to participating and providing the required information. The forms will be saved for 7 years as mandated by the Province for this Project and in compliance with applicable Privacy Laws and will be made available to the Province, upon request.

By proceeding to participate in this program, you acknowldge to participate in an interview and/or survey which will be conducted by our authorized partner – Seneca Polytechnic. The focus of the survey will be on the impact of this program. Details will be shared before your participation is requested.
