Join our expert staff for some of our most popular programs including video game design, coding, LEGO challenges, and more.

Our staff deliver all classes virtually and are available live to help provide targeted guidance and assistance to our youngest learners as they work through awesome activities and projects.

Please note that an adult is required to supervise their child for the duration of this program.

These programs run once per week for a period of 6 weeks.

Program Details

Location: From your home! A link to join our virtual classroom will be provided in a separate email once you have registered.

Coding and Robotics | Wednesdays from September 23 to October 28 from 5:30 - 6:15 pm EST

Digital Designers | Wednesdays from November 4 to December 9 from 5:30 - 6:15 pm EST

Onboarding Procedure:

You will receive all information you need to join the program at least 48 hours in advance of the first class.

Please add [email protected] to your approved contacts list in order to ensure you receive all email communications. 

You are responsible for reviewing the onboarding email in detail and being prepared with all materials before the class start time. Class begins promptly at the listed start time.

Important Information:

  • All children must be supervised by a parent/guardian for the duration of the class.
  • In order to participate in the class, you will need to download Zoom
    • Your Zoom display name MUST match either the name of the adult listed upon registration or your child’s name in order to be permitted to join the class.
  • For all classes that involve the use of an app (e.g. coding, video game design, etc), you will need 2 devices in order to join the class; 1 device of any kind to view the instructor on and 1 tablet to use the app on. You will need to download the app prior to the start of the class. A phone is not recommended due to the small screen size

Video Game Design | Mondays from September 21 to November 2 from 5:30 - 6:15 pm EST

*no class on October 12 due to Thanksgiving holiday

Why just play video games when you can make them? Join us as we go through the journey of a video game designer and learn how to design, create, and program your very own fully playable video game using Bloxels EDU!

Required Materials:

  • iPad or Android tablet with the Bloxels EDU app downloaded OR a laptop/computer

As part of your registration in this program, you will be provided temporary access to a Bloxels EDU account for the duration of the program. Access will be terminated at the end of the program. If you wish to retain access to your child's account, you can be provided with lifetime access to the account as part of the "Bloxels Take Home Program" for a fee of $10 USD. STEM Minds is in no way associated with Bloxels and this purchase is optional. Please contact us at [email protected] for more information.


Coding and Robotics | Wednesdays from September 23 to October 28 from 5:30 - 6:15 pm EST

It's never been easier to get started with coding and robotics! Using a variety of apps and virtual robots including the BeeBot and Dash n Dot simulators, students will learn to code through a variety of hands-on challenges. Please note that NO robot is needed to participate in this program. We will be using a virtual robotics simulator.

Required Materials:

  • iPad or Android tablet with the BlueBot app downloaded.
  • iPad or Computer with the Dash's Neighbourhood app downloaded.
    • Please note that an Android tablet is not compatible with this program.
  • iPad with the Kodable app downloaded OR a laptop/computer

Junior LEGO Builders | Mondays from November 9 to December 14 from 5:30 - 6:15 pm EST

Put on your engineering hat and get ready to become a LEGO Builder! Students will participate in a variety of hands-on build challenges as they learn the basics of engineering including strong and stable structures, the engineering design process, and more!

Required Materials:

  • LEGO
  • LEGO base (optional)
  • Pencil and paper

Digital Designers | Wednesdays from November 4 to December 9 from 5:30 - 6:15 pm EST

Ready to dive into the world of digital design? Learn about 3D design, graphic design, animation, computer music, and more as we explore the creative side of STEM!

Required Materials:

  • Computer with an internet connection (iPad/tablet not recommended)
