About the Program
This unique, six-month incubator program provides you with a dedicated plot of land where you’ll learn everything from soil health to crop rotation, irrigation, pest management, and harvesting. Guided by experienced mentors, you’ll gain firsthand experience in sustainable agriculture, all while working with the latest tools in farm technology.

Over the course of the program, you’ll:

• May – June: Start with crop planning, soil preparation, seeding, and early crop management. You’ll dive into foundational topics such as soil health, farm management planning, and the basics of agri-tech tools like soil sensors.
• July – August: Learn critical growing-season skills like irrigation management, composting & compost tea brewing, pest management techniques, and mid-season crop care. This phase also includes hands-on training in agri-tech and sustainable practices to monitor and support your crops’ growth.
• September – October: Focus on harvesting, produce handling, and preparing for market. You’ll also cover sales strategies, pricing, and quality control, learning how to bring your local produce to market in a way that appeals to different types of buyers.

Throughout the season, you’ll gain valuable insights into the business side of farming, including budgeting, marketing, and record-keeping—equipping you with the skills to understand the ins and outs of running a market farm.
