We are so thankful to be featured in this week’s edition of YorkRegion.com for the work that we have been doing with The Ontario PPE collective (TOPPEC)!

The article titled “Aurora, Newmarket businesses 3D-printing PPE for Ontario health-care workers” highlights the work we have been doing in partnership with Seamus O’Hara of Art in Flight Photography in forming the collective and supporting it’s growth. Thanks to the support from NewMakeIt and a widespread set of volunteers, we have a total of around 50 3D printers running 24-7 to ensure that we can get face shields into the hands of front-line workers as quickly as possible. As Seamus notes in the article, “we are grateful that the team is able to give PPE directly to nurses, ‘filling the gap’ that is the time hospitals need to bring a product in to protect staff” (Aileen Zangouei, YorkRegion.com). Special shout-out to our team members our Senior Director of Technology Mac, our Director of Programming & Business Relations Christian, and our Chief Creativity Officer Sam who are leading the STEM Minds portion of this initiative. We appreciate all of your efforts in supporting our amazing community!
